WiFi QR Code Generator
Generate a free WiFi QR code that lets anyone connect to your network with one phone scan — no typing long passwords. Enter your SSID (network name), password and encryption type (WPA, WEP or none) and our generator builds the standard WIFI: format QR code recognised natively by iOS 11+, Android 10+ and modern camera apps. Save as high-resolution PNG or SVG, then print and stick on the fridge for guests, on a café table, in your Airbnb welcome book or on a hotel-room frame. Hidden networks and emoji-friendly SSIDs are fully supported.
Generate QR codes for URLs, text, or anything else. Download as PNG.
Whether you run a coffee shop, host on Airbnb, want to share guest WiFi at home parties, set up a small office, or print stickers for a co-working space — a WiFi QR code saves everyone the awkwardness of typing 18-character passwords on a phone keyboard. Guests open the camera, point at the code, tap the notification and they are online. Works offline (no internet needed for the code itself) and never sends your password to any server because everything is generated in your browser.
How a WiFi QR code works
The QR code stores a single text string in the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:Network;P:password;; format. When a phone camera scans it, the OS recognises the prefix, shows a Connect to network notification, and automatically configures WiFi — no Settings app, no typing.
What you need
- SSID: your exact network name (case-sensitive)
- Password: the WiFi password (leave blank for open networks)
- Security type: WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 (most common), WEP (legacy), or none (open)
- Hidden network: tick this if your SSID is hidden so the phone knows to look for it
Compatibility
- iOS 11 and later — native Camera app
- Android 10 and later — native Camera and Settings → Network → Add network → Scan QR
- Older Android — Google Lens or any QR scanner app works
- Windows 11 and macOS — built-in QR scanners work in webcam apps
Best practices for printing
- Use error correction Q or H so the code still scans if a corner is scratched
- Print at least 3×3 cm (1.2 inches) for reliable scans from 30 cm away
- Keep a quiet zone of white space around the code (4 modules minimum)
- Add a small text label like Scan for WiFi above the code
- Laminate hospitality codes to resist coffee spills
How it works
- 1Type your WiFi network name (SSID) exactly as it appears in your phone's WiFi list.
- 2Enter the WiFi password and pick the security type (WPA / WPA2 / WPA3, WEP, or none).
- 3Optionally tick Hidden network if your SSID is not broadcast publicly.
- 4Click Generate, then download the QR code as PNG or SVG and print it where guests will see it.
